The TBVC is having a special raffle to benefit our Vizsla Rescue Fund. The drawing will take place after dinner/club elections at the December 6, 2008 Field Trial in Lake Wales, Florida.
For this prize we have secured the services of Pam Fullford, a very talented Florida artist, who will do an 11x14 water color single head study of the lucky winner's dog. Pam's specialty is sporting dogs and she does an outstanding job. The photo to the right is a portrait that Pam did of the Hermes' dog Shooter. The last time we did this Raffle in 2005, Patrice Shramko won and she is very pleased with the portrait Pam did of Bentley.

The Versatile Vizsla was well represented at the Clearwater Kennel Club and the Tampa Bay Kennel Club's Responsible Pet Ownership Day on Saturday, September 6 at the Harborview Center in Clearwater. The TBVC and TBVC Rescue each had a booth at the event, which featured 40 different breeds and over 30 vendors.
Special thanks goes to Char Fowler, David Johnson, David Walker, Betty Anderson, Fred Donatelli, and Crystal Rothhaar for their representation; Bailey, Dibley, Kirby, Monty, and Lady for being great ambassadors for the breed; and Breed Booth Coordinator Pam Stuart for a job well done. |

The Vizsla Epilepsy Research Blood Draw at the TBVC Fun Day had the participation of 89 (EIGHTY NINE!) Vizslas and the basket raffle raised $1,045 for the Vizsla Welfare Foundation earmarked for the Epilepsy Research Project. THANK YOU to all of the volunteers and contributors that made this possible, it is your hard work and efforts that help to improve the breed!

Congratulations to Onpoints Full Throttle "Tagg" for winning the 2008 Amateur Gun Dog of the Year Award! Tagg placed 7 times during the 2007-2008 season in amateur gun dog stakes. He is owned by Don Bonnice and Kim DeTurk and handled by Don Bonnice.

Fellow vizsla owners Brien and Linda Mastriana need help finding their 6 month old vizsla pup Bodi. Bodi has been missing since June 28, 2008 at 7:30 pm and was last seen in Fort Lauderdale at AIA and Oakland Park Blvd. He is an intact male 6 month old puppy wearing a Green Collar, name tag and red rabies tag. His left eye is slightly darker and he has a small white patch on his chest.
