TBVC Hunt Fun Day - October 22

This year's Field Fun Day will be held on Friday, October 22 at GMHT on Boy Scount Camp Road in Lake Wales. (See our Hunt Test Premium in the Events Section of the Tampa Bay Vizsla Club web site for directions).

The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a break for lunch and a seminar on handling for Juniors called "What Your Mother Never Taught You."

The Fun Day is a chance for those who have never had their dogs in the field to get acquainted with field work requirements and have the opportunity to run their dogs in a mock event with live quail. Experienced handlers will guide the learning process.

It is also an opportunity for those who have been in the field to work out the kinks on their dog's performance.

NOTE: This is a one day event and it will be first come, first served, so get your entries in early. If you need to cancel, let us know so we can make room for another entry.

New handlers are encouraged to enter the October 23-24 Hunt Test as a way to gain experience for both the handler and the dog (dogs must be 6 months or older).

We will have equipment to loan if you need it. However, if you have the following you will be well prepared to enter field events.

You are encouraged to read the AKC Hunt Test Rule Book prior to the event.
